To achieve this, the department intends to deploy Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) Technologies , which will enable the electronic weighing of commercial vehicles as they traverse designated lanes at the Mining CheckGate. This advanced Technologies will enable the department to determine the weight of the commercial vehicle without halting or reducing the speed of vehicle during the weighing process.
